Espero se encuentren bien. Es la primera vez que envío este boletín de noticias pero ya lo andaba planeando desde hace varios años. El proyecto audiovisual PEREGRINA aceleró esto ya que tenía que establecer una manera de contar los avances del proyecto más allá de plataformas como Indiegogo, Ulule, Twitter o Facebook. I hope you are all fine. This is the first time I send this newsletter but already was planning it for several years. The audiovisual project PEREGRINA accelerated this as I had to establish a way of communicating the project’s progress beyond platforms like Indiegogo, Ulule, Twitter or Facebook.

En el mes de junio de 2004 en Huaraz, creamos con unos buenos amigos VASOS COMUNICANTES con la misión de hacer proyectos que apoyen el diálogo intercultural en nuestra regiones. Aún seguimos en pañales, entendemos que una década no es nada al intentar cambiar estructuras o paradigmas culturales que requieren de enormes horizontes temporales. No obstante, el objetivo de crear puentes de comunicación continúa siendo importante, tal vez más ahora que hace 10 años atrás. In the month of June 2004 in Huaraz, I created with good-old friends an organization, COMMUNICATING VESSELS, with the mission of implementing projects that support intercultural dialogue in our regions. We understand that a decade is nothing when trying to change cultural structures or paradigms that require enormous time horizons. However, the objective of bridging the information gap continues to be important, maybe more now than 10 years ago.

En fin, muchísimas gracias a todos los que han participado, apoyado y difundido los diferentes proyectos: los eventos, los talleres, los concursos, las revistas, los libros y los audiovisuales, desde diferentes lugares del Perú y más allá. Anyways, many thanks to all who have participated, supported and spread the voice about the different projects we undertake: events, workshops, contests, magazines, books and videos, from different parts of Peru and beyond.

PEREGRINA, un video ofrenda al mundo andino A screen dance offering to the Andean world
2015, 50-70 mins, Peru

Logline : Luego de una experiencia cercana a la muerte, una joven inicia un viaje iniciático y mítico a través de los Andes buscando el equilibrio con la naturaleza en un centro ceremonial de más de tres mil años de antigüedad. After a near death experience, a young woman begins an initiatic and mythic journey through the Andes looking for a balance with nature in a three thousand years old ceremonial center.

¿Por qué quiero hacer este proyecto? Why I am doing this project?

A través de la historia contada usando el lenguaje audiovisual y coreográfico, quiero no solo mostrar fascinantes lugares del mundo andino, ancestrales y naturales, sino también compartir a los espectadores la sensación de sacralidad de estos espacios. Through a story told in  audiovisual and choreographic languages, I don’t want to show only some fascinating places from the Andean world, ancestral and natural, but also want to share with the viewers the sensation of sacredness of these spaces.

Actividades Realizadas el 2013

– Co-Organización del PRIMER SIMPOSIO INTERNACIONAL DE ANADENANTHERA, en Cusco del 5 al 9 de Noviembre [+] en asociación con el Museo de Plantas Sagradas, Mágicas y Medicinales que dirige Alejandro Camino Diez-Canseco.

– Publicación de 02 nuevas ediciones de la revista PERIPHERIA, la número 15 dedicada al Mundo Quechua de Áncash y la número 14 dedicada a las Plantas Maestras de Chavín. Se presentaron en eventos especiales en Lima,Huaraz, Cusco, Chavín de Huántar y Trujillo [+]

– Co-Organización del Primer Encuentro Norteño de Cineastas y Curanderos, en Túcume el 13 de abril, en asociación con el Museo Túcume, Kinovera Films y Cineclub de Lambayeque con el apoyo de Fundación Backus [+]

– Dictado del Taller Intensivo de Elaboración de Proyectos de Salvaguardia del PCI / Convocatoria 2013, en Cusco el 24 y 31 de mayo en asociación con CRESPIAL PCI – UNESCO [+]

– Realización del video de sistematización ‘AGROECOLOGíA: Producir para Vivir Bien‘ para una plataforma de ONGs enÁncash dedicada a la promoción de la soberanía y seguridad alimentaria a través de la agricultura familiar sostenible [+]
